Councils provide a variety of different leadership positions meant to empower students to make a positive difference in our community, develop valuable teamwork skills, and discover the unmatched power of the student voice. You will have the chance to make Eighth College a better place for students alongside a group of highly motivated, intelligent, and friendly people who are just as eager as you are to make the most out of their collegiate experience. Becoming a student leader allows you to tackle issues our community is currently facing and act as an advocate for our Triton community.
“This public acknowledgment serves to honor and respect Indigenous peoples and their land on which our campus resides. UC San Diego was built upon the territory of the Kumeyaay Nation. From time immemorial, the Kumeyaay people have been a part of this land. Today, the Kumeyaay people continue to maintain their political sovereignty and cultural traditions as vital members of the San Diego community.”
